Gurpurab

Gurupurab (20 th nov’ 2018)

“God is one but he has innumerable forms. He is the creator of all and he himself takes the human
form.” Guru Nanak Gurupurab, also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav/Guru Nanak Jayanti, celebrates the birth of the first sikh Guru Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism. On the eve of Gurupurab, our school organized a special assembly during which students were educated about the life and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji through a documentary. Teachers explained the students, the teachings of Guru Nanak and how they are significant in our lives. We also visited Gurudwara Sahib in TDI city. The morning started with hymns and preaching’s of Guru Sahib Ji. This really charged the atmosphere with positive vibes and created a mesmerizing aura. Our students received ‘kadha prasad’, and some snacks from Gurudwara,. We also received blessings from the Granthi Sahib Ji at Gurudwara.

At the end of the program our principal mam Mrs. Meeut Mehra guided our students to imbibe the
preaching’s of Guru Sahib Ji into their lives, to rekindle humanity in our society.
