Diwali (5 th Nov’18)
Diwali or the festival of lights is celebrated with much pomp show in various regions across India. Great
preparations are made for this festival across the length and breadth of our country. To help our
students understand the relevance of this festival and Indian culture, we celebrated Diwali within our
school premises with great enthusiasm. Guiding our students to understand the significance of cleaning
and decorating our surroundings during Diwali, we started with cleaning and decorating respective class
rooms, followed by a Rangoli competition. A special assembly was conducted during which teachers
acknowledged the reason behind celebrating Diwali.
Apart from this our teachers also educated the tiny-tots about the disastrous consequences of bursting
crackers. Children were encouraged and enlightened to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali. School also
organized a “Go Green Rally” on 4 th Nov, 2018, at Sunshine County, Sushant City, Ansal. Children
presented a skit through with they rendered the message to the residents of society – “how crackers are
degrading our environment. Loud slogans to raise the awareness about eco-friendly Diwali echoed
everywhere. Overall it was a fun-filled, educating and eye opening event for our children.
